Florentines is a blend of tradition and innovation. While we are renowned for our traditional hand-crafted patisserie masterpieces, we combine this with innovation which enables us to deliver a large and consistent variety of products of an exceptionally high quality, and maintain our position as market leader in New Zealand and as the fastest growing dessert company in Australasia. As we all know with growth comes increased staffing and training requirements. And with all of the machinery in our facility there is an industry standard process to follow; Assembly, Operating, Disassembly and Cleaning Requirements.
What we are looking for is a more advanced form of training software for our Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
Currently we have a complex and specific process to formally document all systems and processes throughout our factory:
1. Video the process completed by lead staff or engineers (iPhone)
2. Break that video down into static imagery that can then be collated into relevant steps
3. Aligning the steps to visually show the process of completing the task (Online slide show – added arrows and highlights)
4. Writing detailed but easy to read copy to align with the imagery gathered (Word Doc)
5. Getting that document approved by lead staff and production manager (Shared – Word Doc)
6. Uploading the SOP into a basic training software and allocating to respective staff for training.
If there was a way to automate, streamline or simplify this it would be great! So I am interested to hear from anyone in the network who is aware of anything like this that can fit our requirements. If you can assist, please contact me via email.
