Since launching our first online Leadership Development Program in 2020, Best Practice Network has supported more than 1,700 Network Members through our Leadership Development Programs.
What began with Leading and Coaching Problem Solving, has grown into four annual programs, each designed specifically for operational leaders and built around practical leadership development, Lean principles and real-world application.
Across the programs, members are developing the skills and confidence to lead their teams, solve problems, deliver projects and drive continuous improvement within their organisations.
Four Programs. Practical Leadership Skills.
Our Leadership Development Programs are exclusive to Best Practice Network Members and are designed to support leaders at different stages of their development.
Learning to Lead
Designed for emerging and new leaders, Learning to Lead focuses on the foundations of effective leadership – including communication, self-awareness, team engagement and understanding your role as a leader.
Leading & Coaching Problem Solving
This program equips leaders with practical problem-solving and coaching skills to help their teams work through real operational challenges. The focus is on structured approaches that can be applied directly in the workplace to identify root causes, develop solutions and create measurable impact.
Leading Project Delivery
Projects are a key part of operational improvement, but they can also present plenty of challenges. Leading Project Delivery provides a practical foundation in project management, including scope definition, timeline management, stakeholder engagement and avoiding common issues such as scope creep.
Lean Fundamentals
Our newest Leadership Development Program, Lean Fundamentals, launches in October 2026.
The program provides practical tools and approaches that leaders can use to implement Lean within their own organisations, including 5S, value stream mapping, waste reduction, productivity improvement and strategic continuous improvement.
With 100 registrations already received, Lean Fundamentals has reached an exciting milestone ahead of its first program.

More than 1,700 member registrations across the programs over the past seven years is a significant milestone for Best Practice Network.
While each program has a different focus, the underlying objective remains the same: to develop practical leadership capability and give operational leaders the skills, knowledge and confidence to make a difference on the factory floor and beyond.
The programs are delivered with a strong emphasis on real-world application, interactive learning and practical tools that can be applied within the workplace.
