OPERATIONAL EXCELLENCE NATIONAL SUMMIT

One area that I am passionate about when it comes to implementing process improvement initiatives like Lean, is the engagement of the process owners to “lead” the initiatives for their areas. All too often I am confronted with leaders delegating their responsibility for process improvements to the CI person on site. Although done with the best intentions, this, in my experience always falls short of the mark in the long run. It was pleasing to see that “Lean Leadership” was recognised and discussed as a critical component to a successful transformation to a lean business at the summit. Well done for highlighting this to business leaders that attended the event. Even if it only makes a difference in one business, it was a worthwhile topic to discuss.
It was good to hear from the great line-up of speakers at the event. The best practices that were shared during the summit were opportunities that we could all learn from.
The venue for the event was excellent and made the logistics of attending the event for interstate participants nice and simple.
