Dear Members,
SCHÜTZ Australia is a leader in reusable packaging systems for a range of products including industrial chemicals, lubricants, food, beverages, agricultural chemicals, pharmaceuticals and many dangerous goods.
Established in the 1970s, the company was originally set-up to buy, sell, collect and recondition steel drums. Today SCHÜTZ Australia is one of Australia’s largest and most technically advanced container manufacturing and reconditioning companies, with offices throughout Australia and South East Asia.
We are seeking guidance from Best Practice Network as we would like to hear from other companies that have implemented programs specifically around “Training & Engagement of Mature Age Workers”.
We would like to know:
- What training programs do other companies use to train mature aged workers so they can carry out training to other employees?
- How can we boost engagement among mature-age workers by adopting practices that target their needs?
(Job design, mentoring opportunities, phased retirement) - What jobs are available for mature age workers who are transitioning to retirement and would like to reduce their hours of work?
We would welcome feedback, suggestions or strategies from organisations within the Best Practice Network and would love the opportunity to discuss further.
Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Best regards,
Sue Loizou
