New Program in 2026: Lean Fundamentals – Registrations Already Rolling In!

We’re excited to announce the launch of Lean Fundamentals, Best Practice Network’s newest leadership development series, kicking off in October 2026. Although the program doesn’t commence for over a year, it officially launched across the Network this week and registrations are already coming in. We’re thrilled by the early interest and are pleased to welcome early registrations.

Designed exclusively for Best Practice Network members, this 6-session program is tailored for those ready to elevate their Lean knowledge and capability. Whether you’re a CI leader aiming to coach more effectively, or an aspiring operations leader looking to expand your toolkit, Lean Fundamentals will equip you with the practical skills and confidence to drive real, lasting improvement.

What to Expect:

This hands-on, action-oriented series will help you bridge the gap between Lean theory and real-world application. Each session is facilitated by experienced Lean practitioners, sharing proven tools and techniques that have delivered measurable results in diverse workplaces.

Key tools and approaches you’ll explore include:

  • SMED (Single-Minute Exchange of Dies) – Learn to improve changeover efficiency and reduce downtime
  • Discover how to streamline planning and flow for better operational performance
  • Value Stream Mapping – Create a live map of one of your current processes to identify and eliminate waste

Participants will also complete practical, workplace-based activities, such as applying SMED tools to real equipment, and engaging in exercises designed to embed Lean practices within your team.

Be Prepared to Engage

This is not a sit back and listen program. We’ve designed Lean Fundamentals to be interactive, practical, and results-driven. Participants are encouraged to bring real workplace challenges to the sessions and be ready to apply, test, and share what they learn.

We look forward to supporting your Lean journey and helping you build a stronger foundation for continuous improvement.

Spots are filling fast, don’t miss your chance to join the 2026 cohort!
